December

Tons of stuff to talk about as we kick off the season. December so far has been pretty sick, and loon has been killing it this year. I rode loon today and unfortunately they lost a little snow but it was still extremely fun. Springboard is open with 2 flat box's, a down box, a barrel spine, and an up box. The setup is pretty fun and has a nice preseason flow. Killington has had a great winter so far and recently hosted the winter kick off jam, Rails 2 Riches. We had quite a few local riders there but unfortunately the boys from sugarbush sweeped the finals. The video is right HERE! Also if your in the mood for another video Fairgrounds Swingers Club video is tagged to the left. Its a great preseason loon edit and the guys got some serious editing skills. Still no snow yet but well pray that it doesn't end up as bad as last winter.

Loon Today

Loon was absolutely amazing today. We reached the mountain and walked right on the gondola without any lines. They have 5 or 6 different full trails to choose from that will bring you down the entire mountain. The conditions are great even though its all man-made, but there does not seem to be an ice problem. They have been blowing around the clock to get as much of a base as possible. They also have a hike park set up in front of the Kang quad. They have a small table top set up to catch some air, a flat up flat bar, a flat box, and  a small flat tube. So far winter has been amazing and everyone should get out and ride. No lines, not much ice, and some fun jibs. What else is there to ask for.

Winter so Far

So far its a great start to winter! Preseason edits dropping everywhere and mountains everywhere blowing around the clock. I rode Loon today and had a great time! They have a decent amount of coverage and some great jibs to hike. Waterville is also open with variable coverage. Mount snow, okemo, and killington are also all open. Its been a great start to winter so far and the with cold weather 24/7 for the rest of the week, everyone will have there snow guns at full blast.
Here is a recap edit from Paul Osborne on the Cease and Desist rail jam last weekend.

Winters right around the corner

So it seems that resorts all over the East Coast are already blowing snow. Everyone and there mothers are eager to get this winter started, and so far mother nature has been cooperating. Soon enough well be strapping in at the top of Loon and headed down to the park with the homies. On another note, Keep the Change Premier "Holy smokes" was on Friday and man was it a good one. I dont want to spoil it for anyone but with Mike Rav's part as the opener, and Johnny O with the ender, it is a must see!

Jay Peak

I hope everyone is with me when saying that Jay peak is one of the best resorts on the East Coast. The cool weather and rain last night brought snow upon many mountains on the East Coast, including Jay Peak. Winter is literally right around the corner and all we need to do now is wait and see what mother nature can do for us.

October!

The leaves are finally changing, the foliage is beautiful, and the weather is finally dropping lower and lower. We are not to far away from winter here on the East Coast. Out on the West Cost, Copper mountain has already started blowing snow. The picture below just makes me more and more eager to shred.

Small Note on Skating

Were gonna take a quick break from snowboarding on this post to announce the drop of David Gonzalez: Possessed to Skate, that dropped last night at midnight. We all sat around the TV patiently waiting with our PBR's in hand just counting the minutes to 12. This video, is by far, the most insane skate vid to hit the internet and one of the best skate vids of all time. Ive never seen someone take so many slams and still get back up and try it again.
It can be watched(should be watched) at - http://www.thrashermagazine.com/articles/videos/david-gonzalez-possessed-to-skate-trailer/

This Week in Snowboarding

Jed Anderson released his part called, "Jed In Full". Its Jed's footage from the 11' 12' season, and it expresses his riding better then any other video. He is one of the best and most innovative street riders out there. This video can be seen at
On another note. It reached as low as 36 degrees this morning here in plymouth. Winter is right around the corner.

First Post!

My mind is always revolving around snowboarding, no matter what the season is. To start off, High Cascade and Windells have all previously ended there summer shredding seasons. These summer snowboarding camps can be a bit on the expensive side, but from personal experience, it is the best and most worthwhile trip you will take in your life. Theres nothing like rubbing it in your friends face with some pictures from out west during the summer. Mount Hood is the origin of these camps, located in Oregon, and has been showing an amazing time to all the campers that have attended over the years. A few plymouth state students were also asked to attend these camps this summer such as Mike Ravelson, Johnny O'connor, and Brendon Rego. The video underneath is a recap up at Hood this summer.
